Description

Our protagonist, Ichimura Tamito, is a criminal magnet. Ever since he could remember he had attracted criminals from kidnappers kidnapping him when he was just a newborn, to robbers stealing his toys. He is determined to start a new life and make new friends after moving into a new city but at the start of the day he was bombarded by all sorts of crime. After encountering a knife wielding killer in broad daylight he saves a young girl that coincidentally belongs to the same class as he does. But something seems off about this girl and his new class too. It seems like our protagonist's magnetic pull on crime and criminals is getting stronger as he find out that he belongs to a class of criminals and suspects.

It would've been much more succesful, it would have probably a tv series, and it would still be ongoing...Too bad it wasn't so it didn't become too much popular.

Pretty funny manga with many flaws

I quite liked this manga, it was funny and fairly fresh. However, the author didn't do much with the potential and kept on going with the same gags over and over again. The first and perhaps second chapter was the funniest and after that it's just pretty good but nothing awesome. I can't give it more than a 7/10 with all the various flaws, the end would've warranted an even lower score, perhaps 5/10 or lower.

Things were pretty nice, interesting and funny up until the FBI moron comes along. Then we just get some half-arsed cliché background explanation of a character and we have to save her and then we get to kinda know what powers the mc has, turns out it's something stupid, might as well call it friendship power although that's not exactly it. Urgh. It's not even properly explained how it works, why they have these powers, where they originate from and what the mc could do with it as he never really learned to properly utilize and control it.

So much is left unexplained. It feels very lacking and lacking in substance towards the end. The characters which felt nice and vivid at the start gradually started to become boring characters that are there just for the plot. I also don't like how we don't get to know which one the mc gets together with at the end, we just get a hint about who he likes and pretty much gets a choice between two or even three that might be possible later on...

It's so disappointing. So many hilarious potential gags were just missed or skipped and the ending was very lackluster.

Well, whatever. It's good for a few laughs, but you should just skim quickly through all the pages after the FBI agent arrives because that's the milepoint where the author decides to end the story and goes in for a last little boring arc to end it all where we're fed with cheap and cliché garbage. Then there are so many loose ends left alone. Haaaah.

Haven't read this but I thought I'd answer punchmanga's question since I can read Japanese. The translation of the Japanese you posted is:

"Thank you so much for reading Criminale! While it's sad that it ended, it was because the books (tankoubon) didn't sell very well."

Fun read but you could feel that there was much more that the author wanted to a add but had to end it too soon. And to the guy before me who asked why it ended I think it was because of health reasons

Zany! So zany it almost makes me feel nostalgia for series I used to read and watch many years ago. The premise is completely absurd and the absurd execution goes with that premise wonderfully. It's funny as hell with a lot of great reactions from the characters. The harem element is okay, since I like what girls are in the running (and are viable) and it's not as though EVERY female character is after the protagonist. Wrote a long review of this one. Seriously, a riot of a series.

This is a really lovely manga.

It's got a great and cast of characters. All of them are somewhat strange / crazy, and none of them is weak (which very much includes the average-looking protagonist). All characters are either criminals or suspects, and the manga mostly manages to make them seem likable despite their over-the-top actions (causing explosions, arson, stalking...).

The comedy is also great, both due to the cast itself and due to the overall setup.

The episodes are sometimes rather episodic, but the overall storyline seems to be progressing as well, albeit at a rather slow pace.

I'm very much looking forward to how this manga will turn out in the future. (I just hope it won't turn into all-out harem, since that doesn't suit this cast. So far, it's just ecchi.)
