First, the art is awesome. Not because it's beautiful, but because you can feel the emotions and see the emotions in the characters. I love that about it.
The translation is bangin', seriously. It was pretty freaking close to actual English, and that is a RARE thing in manga. Also, the spelling and grammar were so amazing they made me swoon just a little.
The story isn't new, and the concept isn't new, but the characters ROCK. I LOVE the main kid, and the teacher is funny as well. Their personalities are...not similar, but it works. Usually in manga the opposites-attract thing is trite - this is not. This is awesome. I want to know more about them, especially the main kid, Shuu.
Normally I don't like student/teacher, but this was hilarious, and it was oddly deep. I definitely would love to read more if the author ever continues (not likely, but still). One of my favorites even though it's incomplete.
One thing I love is there aren't a lot of manga cliches - no one's hitting anyone on the head, no one's freaking out and yelling at EVERYTHING (I hate that with a passion), and the main guy is actually mature and not stupid.
Love, love, love, love, love. <3
