As the other reviewer has noted, this is a step above. I agree wholeheartedly that this is pretty solid, and frankly I rate it higher than he/she did.
*Art
The art is quite good (thought not AMAZING) throughout, with no real blemishes. I can't think of any instances where I ever went 'oof, noticeable drop in art quality'. Consistently above average, at all times.
*Translation
I was actually very impressed with the translation on this one. With the veritible flood of TERRIBLE quality manhuas out there, this one definitely benefited from a good translation. While the cultivation ranks had some leeway, I mostly blame the source as it's never fully explained (unless this is from a webnovel; I'm unaware). Terms do change once or twice, and it seems like it was when translators changed, BUT I'm really not sure on that, because the other names don't change! So either the TLers didn't change, or if they did they kept the quality the same. Good readable font too, which is ALWAYS a blessing.
Plot
Pretty decent, albeit formulaic. Nothing wrong with that tbh, as cliches exist for a reason. MC's parents were murdered, his whole family is sht, wants revenge, etc. But after the pretty standard start, it quickly takes off, and the various arcs are handled very well, with pacing done right, and the connections between arcs done very well. So while frankly the plot is nothing to write home about, the MANNER it's done is superlative. Honestly, how many webtoons have you read where the plot might be interesting, but you can't tell because the pacing is terrible, and it jumps from place to place? Here the pacing is great.
*MC
I very much enjoy the MC here. He's out for revenge, and he absolutely does murder some peeps that need murdering. BUT he also manages to not be a revenge based caricature that is completely unrelatable. He is very much a righteous, lawful MC that repays honor with honor and evil with evil. He even goes out of his way to actively HELP people and be righteous. (It ties into the reason his parents were killed, and the fact that Might Makes Right, and there's a sect that actively wants to set out some rules/ethics for all people to follow) So, overall, a very decent/righteous MC who's not afraid (or even hesitant) to kill, but isn't a bloodthirsty moron. Hardworking, not arrogant (but NOT a doormat - he probably has the highest bodycount in the series lol). All-in-all, great MC.
*Romance and/or FMC
So at this point, while there's a few female characters around (...there always are, and they have to be lol), there is NO HAREM (as of now at least). And frankly, when it comes to this genre, the romance is SUPERB (which doesn't say much, lol i know). The main female lead is quite nice, and doesn't play a million chapters worth of playing hard to get, but nor does she fall in love INSTANTLY. The MC actually spends a pretty considerable amount of time (and chapter space) in wooing her. While I can't say the development is entirely perfect, it's still 10000% better than basically every other webtoon in the genre I've read.
[The 'unnatural' part of things is only that once she lays down the conditions he will have to do to 'obtain' her - because she's naturally high-spec and her karma will bring disaster upon those around here - she goes dere instantly. It's not bad, because he's clearly spent time already, and she's been falling for him, it's just that once she gets to that tipping point, she's all in, and willing to date/move in with him, despite the fact he hasn't fulfilled any of the conditions yet.]
As for any other females, there's really only two of note, and one of which hasn't said more than a few lines to him. She's only on the 'list' because she's got a very 'unique' character design, i.e. white hair, wears a veil, super hot, etc. But frankly, it's not harem now, i just say that because I plan for the worst so all surprises are pleasant!
So yeah, definitely an above-average example of the genre. Give it a shot!
P.S. Plus, there's some really amusing cameos for literally no apparent reason. One guy I'm convinced is a Superman/All-Might knockoff, who wears a red cape on a blue jumpsuit with a symbol on his chest, and he cultivates a 'red sun absorbing' art. Lol. Also saw Naruto once. More too, but those two come to mind.
