The overall story lacks impact and doesn't really answer some of the questions that the reader might end up having as they read. The details concerning Yohsuke's parents are one of the things that were vaguely touched upon, but never fully answered. The characters also lack conviction, especially Chihiro, who just kind of goes "okay, now that I know you're serious about Yohsuke, I guess I'll just go home," even though he was ready to throw down before.
There's a lot of things that want to happen in the manga, but there just isn't enough time for all of it. It really just feels the author was trying to speed run the entire thing. The smut was decent, if that's all you're looking for, but everything else was super dry.
Just something I was just mulling over, but...
Chihiro reveals to Yohsuke that his mom was a werewolf and that she was being chased by a vampire the night she died. He then says that it was rumored that his father was a vampire and details of his mom must have gotten out. So this implies that his mother's side of the family didn't know about his father's true nature as a vampire, and his father's side didn't know about his mother's true nature as a werewolf.
This is somewhat confusing because Yohsuke, who is taken in by Naruichi's family, is raised thinking he would awaken as a vampire by a family of vampires, who most likely believed that he was born from two vampire parents. But what about the vampire who had been chasing after his mother the night his parents died? If that person knew his mother was a werewolf, then surely they would have kept tabs on Yohsuke, knowing there was a possibility that he would be a werewolf?
