Not sure what to rate this series. Went with a 7 since the art was beautiful and the story seemed original, great panel layouts, flow was good and the ending tied it for me (even though it was NOT the ending I imagined...)
It was however at the same time...scattered and very confusing many times, I kept trying to remember who was who...I think none of the side characters stuck with me and were memorable expect for the little sister. Also I kept thinking what was real and what was not? If you are going to read, make sure you think abstract especially towards the end... if you read this then it really should be in one go without distraction because the story was very confusing
Also if you were confused by the ending, here is a comment that might help you understand it.
Warning. Big spoilers below.
. - I found this explanation about it online by @peoniesandboyslove From what I got, his little sister, Yuju, were killed by her kidnapper, and Giju tried to denied it immersing himself into methaphysical thoughts, convincing himself there was a little bird into the box, but the panel where Yuju has wings, snuggled in phetal position, left no doubts about her tragic destiny. The worst is that we also can see Giju’s “dad” (the pedo bastard) wanting to make Giju the culprit of everything bad he had committed, even of his own r*pe, as if Giju was the one who seduced him. ???? We also got that when Giju’s mom discovered his husband’s atrocious plans, she told Giju to leave their house in order to protect him as she could, making it clear that she acted out of love, not hatred towards him. ???? Unfortunately, after knowing about Yuju’s death, mom set light to her own house, committing both suicide and murder (dad died too), and also Giju killed himself by jumping off a really high spot. Apparently, he cannot stand such a pain from the lost of his little sister. At the end of his eternal falling, Giju found again Young-do, who also died due to a killing order from his old boss, and he greeted his lover in the afterlife, saying that in this dimension, this time, he will really be able to keep him be safe. .
After reading the explanation for the ending, it just made me sad.
who was the short haired woman he was talking to before he jumped? Who was the one who kidnapped the little sister? It was sad to me that they both died but I am glad they are together in the afterlife. I am shocked that I did not see this possible ending happening....I wish they had given them a happy ending.
