Description

From One Peace Books:
The story starts with college student Taichi, who comes from a not-so-well-off household and is desperately searching for work. He (literally) stumbles across fellow student Kouhei while on a job hunt, and is incredibly enticed by the delicious bento Kouhei has in hand. However, something seems a bit off about Kouhei and when Taichi consults his friends about it, he gets an answer he really wasn't expecting: Kouhei is severely hearing impaired.

I can't actually see the chemistry of the couple. It comes off as a rather dependant realtionship, which also often becomes the point of conflict because of miscommunications and prejudgemental conceptions on both sides of the abled and disabled people. This is the strength of the story though: depicting the possibilities and hardships of the inclusion of disabled people, letting both sides speak on different views. That's what makes all the side-characters important and likeable. There were a few things left unexplored though hinted at so it feels a bit incomplete.Definitely something I'll reread and maybe even watch the live adaptation of.

Although the story does have points that deserve critique, overall it is just so amazing.
Actually, I feel like the romance was not the most important aspect of the story. This outlook on society and disabilities is what makes the manga so good.

The romance could have been more developed, there could have been less misunderstandings and more communication, but once I finished the manga that didn't matter anymore. (Though it isn't finished yet I guess).

I am just so happy that I got to read this. I hope I managed to learn something from the story and can become a better human being.
I recommend this to absolutely everyone!

I drop it after c3 in v2
I find that SUPER poor dude rolling eyes super annoying
The thing I hate the most about him is how he take advantage of kouhei kindness, he keeps freeloader his food but can't even try to make those shitty notes better for kouhei , he doesn't deserve even one bite of those foods.
As a fan of bl, I don't find any chemistry btw leads and it's looks so forced , I prefer kouhei with that she-wolf girl tbh, I like her so much lol

Taichi and Kohei are national treasure that ought to be protected at all costs. What I really appreciate about this story is how yes, there is a romance between the two, but the focus is more on the idea of disability and how that interacts with the able world. It is an experience that you should take the time to really let sink in, and it prompted me to consider my own views on the world. At a surface level view, Taichi is a loveable idiot with a heart of gold and Kohei has lots of factors to consider with how he wants to approach his life. The supporting cast is also endearing as well, it seems that Taichi is just around a bunch of goofy people and I'm all for it.

The experience becomes more worthwhile the deeper you read into it (coming from someone who has read up to the end of limit) so if you like the first volume, it'll continue to get better as you continue!

I think what makes this manga special is the realistic portrayal of people with disabilities. They did really well in showing the reader the perspective of someone who is hearing impaired struggling to connect with others as well as the perspective of Kouhei as he comes to accept his feelings for Taichi. Other than that though.. its a pretty standard shounen ai plot. Just a bunch of miscommunication issues that end up being resolved over way too many chapters.

I really loved how they tried to establish a bond between Kouhei and Taichi and beautifully progressed the bond from stranger to the only one.... I love how it emphasis on the other characters especially female which is lacking in MOST yaoi and it directly doesnt jump into explicit relationship. Rather show the slow progress of deepening of one's feeling for each other in the most grounded and innocent way. This kind of story is a beutiful benchmark for the whole genre.

It's Fumino Yuki first work but this is no doubt became one of the more known BL series in a very niche audience. I saw some posts on some sites like Chil-Chil and the writers/editors vote this as one of the memorable BL works from recent years. Then i saw some other works they listed, i realized this is the only non-smutty, not-that-heavy/dark atmosphere on those lists. A light-hearted and not too much angsty or heavy, yet still pretty realistic and charecters are being developed nicely. Definitely a must-read.

This is a very good love story. Very heart-warming and realistic. If you're looking for something sweet and slow, then I would highly recommend it! It's definitely not too slow, as I've seen some people say, as long as you're looking for a romance. It's NOT a yaoi, it's boys love, therefore there's nothing heavy and it doesn't jump straight into them being together. It's very good pacing for my tastes and made me care about the characters and their friendship before their relationship turned into something more romantic. There's more miscommunication in the later volumes that results in drama, but nothing too intense.

Really refreshing story for BL

This is a GREAT read. I love BL, but am not a fan of the typical formulas for most yaoi or shonen ai mangas. What I'm referring to is the forced romance and smut that you will often see without any solid reasoning or story to support it. That, and the fact that many BL mangas seem to be purely fanservice. But this manga is truly touching and has a wonderful story supported by refreshingly reasonable, well-rounded characters.

I've seen a few comments complaining about the lack of romantic moments here, but I actually think that makes their relationship even more heartwarming because then it makes your heart flutter all the more each time there's a sweet moment. It's just nice to read a BL manga where the storyline and romance develop naturally and aren't just means to an end.

Anyways, it's great to see an author, especially in a BL manga, explore disabilities in such a realistic, non-dramatized fashion. The main characters are just adorable too and seem to behave like real people. I highly recommend if you're looking for a sweet and earnest story with an adorable main couple.
