Spoilers.
Season 1: I really like Peach and Love's character designs and I like how quirky they are. However, the relationship didn't feel like it was given enough time to believe it. Peach fell in love at near-first sight, Love was like 'I need to be friends first' and then we're shown a tiny sequence of them hanging out before BAM they're together. And Peach got uglier by keeping his hair down though I eventually got used to it.
They came up with this plan that only ended up isolating Love from his peers when he was already down about always being hated - and when he brings it up? They change the subject. :/ And apparently Peach and Love become roommates at some unknown time! No big deal!
TBH I almost stopped reading, but then I starting finding out more about Love's past and that got me hooked. Peach is not the biggest liar by far in the end.
There's also a second potential couple in King and Cherry, Cherry wants King as his right hand man but King is way too attached to Love and the gang. If Cherry wants King he's going to have to be way more sincere and upfront with him.
The situation with Peach and King's brothers is really interesting too.
Season 2: Well that was a lot. Love can not only fight, he can be ruthless and hateful, but he's also been deeply hurt and taken advantage of, it really made me understand why he acts like he does with the Peach gang. I'm guessing since Peach never did anything more than kiss him that one time, he was able to comfortably be in a relationship with him without being put in an uncomfortable position like with Zero.
Season 3: You know I really thought Love had stabbed Zero this whole time and now I'm disappointed he didn't.
And that twist in episode 57, I literally had to leave the room for a few minutes to wrap my head around it. Not only did they lie about disbanding the Peach gang, they made Love the fake leader without telling him which led to him getting isolated, and the biggest thing being they pretended not to know he could fight, making all the anguish he went through even more awful, not to mention setting the brothers, Cherry and Lion on him and causing King to get kidnapped, tortured and disabled.
Seeing them taking turns blaming themselves is kinda fun, but the best part is seeing Peach cry while talking about seeing Love cry.
Kid's thing with Gamma is kinda cute!
King being permanently disabled...man, fuck Lion to hell and back. It...looks like Lion was taken care of, I'm afraid to ask if he's alive.
And that's why Reach pushed Peach down the stairs?! What a dumbass... Reach/King's brother's (I forgot his name lmao) rivalry is hilarious though. Cherry/King did work out once King figured out Cherry probably fell in love with him at first sight after being impressed by him, like Peach was with Love, and decided to go with him and try to get his legs fixed.
Genuinely beautiful ending for Peach/Love, I'm sad for people who didn't stick around it for it. I will say I was disappointed there wasn't a little more physical attraction between Peach/Love and more spice with Cherry/King (though it was implied for them). I'd totally be fine with an asexual relationship, I just wish it'd explored that more if so.
I was not prepared for all that social commentary.
