Masterpiece

Simply a masterpiece, everyone should read it , government need to make it in a book and force kids in school to read it.
In first chapter u can say almost all kids around him being dumb are uneducated even a whole teacher is an uneducated dumbass , ppl should forced to educated about sexuality, maybe our society changed to a better place for ppl who felt they have no place to belong.

There is something in this I see for the first time in any Manga, which is sexuality never defined a person and I'm so happy author mentioned it. Usually ppl never think it that way , their whole life circled around sexuality, gender and skin color and nationality, so I'm so touched someone mentioned how a person is just a person in the end.

This manga helped me start to accept myself as part of the LGBTQ+ and I definitely cried multiple times per volume on my first readthrough. Right from the beginning we have a bomb dropped on us
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Tasuku being gay / has gay porn on his phone, that is
. It feels like each volume gets to focus on different characters, but we definitely don't get to know that much about some characters compared to others. The cover art and the art in general is beautiful and whimsical. There's definitely a certain mystical air to some of the landscapes we see .It felt like such a short journey despite being 4 volumes long, but it makes sense considering the subject material.

This manga is refreshing and breathtaking. No other manga has explored and represented the LGBTQ community with delicacy and nuance as much as this! The characters could've been more fleshed out, but It did spectacular with 4 volumes and I feel emotionally invested with each of them. A must read for any queer readers!

This is such a wonderful and sincere manga. It touched me deeply and I would share it with any person who has LGBT+ issues on their mind, whether they be ignorant, LGBT+ themselves, or a bystander in the discussion. The artwork and character development were divine, and everything functions so well. It sounds cheesy, but my only problem is that it ends... I felt so many emotions just while reading this, and I will definitely return to experience it once more. Something within this series sparked something within me, and I implore you to read it for yourself.

Realistic LGBTQ+

This is one of my favourite LGBTQ+ work. It doesn't have any sexual nuance at all and realistically portrays many different difficulties and conflicts regarding accepting LGBTQ+. It's not only about feelings of disgust opposing the queer community but also the well-meant treatment that comes off as paternalising and sensationalising. Also, the journey of accepting one's own sexual identity and orientation was very well written in this one. The story-telling fell flat at times, but that could have been the translation.

I love this manga, this manga really represents what a reality is to me, like so many people ask rude things to lgbtq person and etc, like in my country sadly same sex married not allowed, and they think Sexual orientation is contagious like wtf the people who think like that must be is airhead, also they were so judge mental and rude huhuhu, and i love this manga so muchh, i love how the character develop they were change little by little, and how every character have their own beautiful stories, i wanna cry when the old man die huhuhu.. sure is tsubasi grow a feelings little by little to Tatsuku

A tall glass of water

"Shimanami Tasogare" is a story littered with impressionistic imagery and mature emotional clarity. It's strange since I have gotten so use to the rather trite way in which many other manga tackle queer characters. "Acceptance" and "coming out" are the only themes usually ever explored. This manga seems to weave a more delicate commentary on identity generally, and how that can be relevant to both ourselves and others. My personal favourite vignette was of the trans-man and his female school friend and the cringing/cloying overt-acceptance. Kindness can be it's own sort of insult, but one that is harder to rebuke. A rather refreshing experience all round.

A Favorite

This became one of my favorites from the beautiful artwork, LGBTQIA+ representation and character development. As short of this story is, it put me through emotions. I am happy to see a story that gives insight of the struggles within the community, with Kaname discovering a place of comfort within the story, giving him the opportunity to accept himself even more.
Only downside is, it's not long enough!

i read this manga...and then i read it again. i love(d) it.

i have one friend i discuss manga and anime with. others are aware i read a lot of manga, but to be frank, i'm often a little embarassed to talk about it. i'm hyperconscious of being weeby. despite this, i immediately shared it with two friends (neither of whom is the usual one).

the art, story, characters, writing, and above all, themes/message, have blown me away.

Good LGBT-centered story

The characters are developed and they are more than their sexual identity. They have personalities. And they face issues that people in the LGBT community sometimes face. The ending was only a tiny bit abrupt but all in all pretty good. It could have lasted one more volume but 4 volumes was plenty. The art is good too, and I enjoyed Kamatani's previous work Shounen Note as well, so I can't wait for her next work.
