I've read this manhua for the first time a few years ago, and this review was done after having read it again recently.

Plot/Story
The plot has a very basic and ordinary frame: the main character is shunned and bullied by typical bullies because he is on the lowest rung of the social ladder.
He then gets a mysterious encounter (a cheat, so to say) that allows him to get ahead of everyone in every aspect if he puts in the work.

What makes this story stand out from the other similar ones in that genre is the rich background and the unique focus points it uses.
It's not just about the usual cultivation system, but also about mechanical refining, combat suits, space warships, planets or stars or star systems explorations for resources or ancient treasures, wars between different species, etc.

Also, the ancient history being deeply developed aids in creating imposing villains and coherent new arcs as the main character grows up.

Nevertheless, by having such a deep backstory, the chapters tend to be way too wordy and boring when the numerous details are introduced. Each time, a certain amount of information is not relevant for the future part of the story, and many details become noise for the reader (everything that's not about the main plot, basically.)

Considering this is a comic, that issue is a major flaw.
It can be observed every arc, to variable degrees.
However, it's almost not apparent from chapter 305 to chapter 345.

Characters
The best characters are the recurrent ones that help mc, or the main villains.
Still, they mostly act only in their usual manners, and we don't get to see them in many different situations or with different emotions very often, except for the mc.

I'd say the villains are generally better written, because they are always put in opposition to the main character, so they have to have a wider range of emotions and reactions to match him.

Afterwards, there are some characters who get introduced, assist mc, and then get directly discarded, without time for some backstory or a deeper introduction. Most of them are anecdotal, and they won't be remembered by their actions; we will just watch mc improve through their help.

The rest are the ones who don't get any development but are still around mc for a certain amount of time, until he leaves them without any farewell. They're his random comrades-in-arms and allies that have a few lines of dialogue on the battlefield and in the training facilities to emulate team effort, when mc is actually the deciding factor every time in all the fights.

Drawing Style
This comic is drawn with fragmented panels, which sometimes create situations where a fragment is too small compared to the rest of the panel or the other main fragments. However, those fragments are still used and drawn as a unique piece, making it harder for the reader to understand what they're supposed to tell, or how they're supposed to link the previous section with the following one.

Otherwise, the art is good enough for us to understand what's happening, and we can totally enjoy the fighting scenes as well as the sceneries when there are some to see.

Enjoyment
Despite the load of endless explanations there are in this series, all the near-death situations, team efforts, comebacks, wars, multiple successes, and all the rich bonds that the characters manage to form make reading this enjoyable.

The rich and diverse environments and techniques also prevent us from being bored.

Overall
It's a solid read when the negative elements aren't largely present, otherwise it's a bit above average.

I can understand why it would get cancelled: the too many words' construction adapted from the novel makes it hard for readers to fully immerse themselves and not get bored, then most of the other features are okay, maybe good, but not all that impressive.

This comic is quite unique in its own genre, heavy science fiction coupled with cultivation, with only one central character, but it's also not good enough to attract and keep everyone interested.

7.175/10
