Plot/Story
Kyou no Go no Ni is just like your good ol’ school life comedy except for one thing – it’s about fifth graders (sorry, no school uniforms). The story is composed of 22 short chapters, 8-10 pages each, about a boy named Ryota Satou and the group of friends in his life.

Ryota plays it cool around all of his classmates, especially when it comes to girls. But he’s always the one on the spot in a perverted situation. In some of these many random anecdotes about the lives of fifth graders you'll find: peeping at collarbones, eating chalk, accidental skirt flipping, missing bloomers (you know, those girls' gym shorts things), and many others. Who says grade school can't have a high-school-type love story?

Characters
There are the boys, his necessary male friends: Kouji Imai (the arrogant one) and Tsubasa Kawai (the perfect one). And the girls, all of the possible partners for the guys: Chika Koizumi (the childhood friend), Yuki Asano (the talkative one; possibly Kouji’s girlfriend), Kazumi Aihara (the quiet one), Megumi Hidaka (the girl with glasses; attractive?), and Natsumi Hirakawa (the tomboy who beats all the guys in sports).

Drawing Style
The art style seems to resemble many common angular art styles and still manages to remain somewhat unique. The art style allows for expressive eyes and physical features that help portray characters well. This, combined with the fact that the chracters are in fifth grade, also allows the author to draw quite fashionable clothing on the characters.

Enjoyment
What can I say? The artist draws panty shots very well. The artist draws everything very well. The fun in this will be for those that like ecchi and comedy in a nice easy-going setting. If you're looking for a nicely drawn panty shot and some comedic artwork, then that's the fun you'll get from this manga.

Overall
I liked this story quite a bit. I would have liked to see it continue for more than one book. But I'm sure we all know that all good things must come to an end. So, my overall rating is a 4.5. I loved it!
