Khara is a multimedia development and production company established by famed Evangelion director Anno Hideaki in May 2006 to work on the Rebuild of Evangelion film tetralogy and other works. Studio Khara is the main animation studio of the company.
Note: Since the second half of 2014 Khara has absolute and total control over the Evangelion franchise rights after Gainax accepted to transfer their shared rights over the franchise to Khara. This means all the Evangelion official works like manga and light novels have Khara as the sole copyright owner, with the company being credited as Original Creator.
