After working as assistant at SAITO Pro staff, he made his debut in 1965. His drawings mainly influenced by BABA Noboru. One of signboard writers of early Weekly Shonen Jump alongside NAGAI Go, MOTOMIYA Hiroshi and KAIZUKA Hiroshi. His masterwork is Weekly Shonen Magazine’s Kyojin no Hoshi.
