Takeru first gained recognition at the 100th Tezuka Manga Award in 2020 when they won the top prize for their work Enten. Following this, they took the next step by having both Enten and Farewell! Cherry Boy! published in the Spring 2021 issue of Jump GIGA magazine. CHAIN followed suit in the pages of Jump GIGA's Summer 2021 edition.
In 2022, Takeru made their debut in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #19, with Madogiwa de Amu. Roku no Meiyaku followed in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #36/37.

In 2023, their first ongoing manga Kagurabachi debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #42.
