The first manga that inspired him was YOKOYAMA Mitsuteru's Tetsujin 28-go which he read in kindergarten. Then in elementary school, he started reading AKATSUKA Fujio's Bakabon and FUJIKO Fujio's Obake no Q-Taro. When he was 19 Aa Ichirou received honorable mention at Shueisha’s 16th Tezuka Award, TEZUKA Osamu jokingly said that he would achieve moderate success. He later released two successful baseball titles Kenritsu Umisora Koukou Yakyuu Buin Yamashita Tarou-kun and Pennant Race - Yamada Taichi no Kiseki.

He was the first person who recognize ARAKI Hirohiko’s actual face and talk to him at his first Jump New Year Party.

From around August 2008, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when it is not raining, sometimes sell colored paper and draw portraits with his wife near the south exit of Shimokitazawa Station.
