I still can´t believe that i "own" a hentai channel but quality writing is a fetish too I guess and we went over 1500 views! This is the ONE thing the community will put on my gravestone so i accept the position. Heavy weights the crown but such is the burden and I have put 6/10+ hentai into my profile and will continue to. I also noticed that some of you tagged my series (even with my invention Borderline Josei) like you would a real manga and i did too. So continue that in the future as they will come out as they will be preserved and found randomly by all. So look at the linked ones for suggestions how to do it.

I should have mentioned Oku-sama wa Bunny Girl and especially Yuuki Shizuka - Senior but genuinely forgot Itaike na Darling by the usual bunch.
Kanojo Zokusei has the good Moshimo, Hatsukoi ga Kanatte Itara?(ch.1-4) and Tomodachi ga Sukunakutemo Yoi Riyuu. The untranslated ch.5+7 are decent and the last two chapters are garbage.
Fuuga´s next best ones btw. are Kyoushi to Seito to and Setsunai Omoi but these are clear porn in the end as the internal logic is a bit off. Otokonoko Onnanoko (Fuuga) can also be mentioned but is problematic already so let´s wait for his new stuff. Now these old dogs are promoted so let´s go on to new discoverys:

Icchau Karada: After trashy porn the compilation becomes interesting from ch.7 onwards. Issen is the starting point with Amakuchi (kind of a josei with both the content, focus on her feelings and the way the art is presented) being the best one of the last 4.
If we take the first 2 to 3 story´s from his shorter and know Mecha Mucha H which is a bit better then i originally though + it´s main story into account then we have a presentable volume. But NO it has to be hard with random crap everywhere so research and presentably becomes impossible. Nearly all of them do this so gems in the rough remain hard to find unless one is willing to craw through rivers of mud. Suspense!

He proved hard to find as ghentai was my landfill of choice because of the amount of content and he wasn´t present in english.
Nyuuwaku Yuugi by YASOHACHI Ryou has the decent ch. 02-03 (U.F.O! and part 2) and get´s going in ch.04 (Awkward Apology) + ch.05 (Lapping Waves Lover). Ch.09 (Every Woman to Her Own Taste) and ch.12 (The Comfy Warm Food Stall) are a fine finish.
That is half a volume and while the rest of the clear cut porn didn´t undo me a rounded volume remains elusive. Another one to track and candidate number 3 who writes better porn then real manga. Why is this a theme?
Some consider ch.10 Cherry Pink from Kano Bana - Kanojo to Koi to Monogatari to be a masterpiece. I wouldn´t go that far but it´s ok and ch.09 A Lovely Night to Fall in Love is alright too. Pro-tip: Stay away from skyscraper high rating and the comments sections in general. These are Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them as Fair and Balanced they are not. I technically have more but the board language is English so scanlations must come fist. You'll just have to imagine the fire!

My system to find most of this staff was this:
I went to ghentai and came up with the code "english -rape -futanari -sister -netorare -tentacles -cheating -yaoi". This should be the maximum amount of tags at once and should have filtered out the mindrape one can assume but NO, they only know how the Yaoi tag works and nothing else. I had Show Expunged Galleries turned on but gave up on it such things were seinen or trash. I even set the rating to 4 stars minimum after a bit as ratings below that always show hell and barely even exist. I look at nearly 150 pages (while watching Bayblon 5) and if anyone was promising i look at the mangaka´s other stuff on other sites too and found Nyuuwaku Yuugi like this and the decent A Borrowed Thing by the known MINATO Fumi by accident. I also look at some of their tags to be sure but ghentai will be my site of choice from now on unless i look up what else someone did.
My system has holes but proved to be a success and now I input: "english -futanari -netorare -tentacles -yaoi -furry -rape" and turn on Show Expunged Galleries.
If anyone cares to retrace my steps you now know how.
I also implore others to stick to diffirent sites in the future as I won´t be doing another dumpster diving tour for past content. All future results will be posted here as they come. Please Be Excited!

Latecomer: Just before the upload i saw that someone flooded ghentai with prohibited content. Lol. Himegoto Maternity by KUON Michiyoshi turned out to be the one decent entry.
The main story is a bit long but i can see people getting behind the romance.
(The 2 one-shots at the end are pointless porn.)
Traking for now and ch.04 A humble Juliet from Tsutsun de Hiraite is the next best thing.

Although it revolves around very young girls which I can see a lot of readers downright hating it right away, I'm able to look past it being creepy, and still find it somewhat sweet overall.

American comic book art is sold by the artist later so they try to be as awesome and "posery" as they can at times which messes with the story flow a bit and thanks to double shipping and whatnot the polish also took a big hit in recent years.
Japanese art though isn´t designed to be auctioned off later so the story flow is sometimes noticeably better. Both can look absolutely amazing but i noticed that i linger more on well drawn manga art these days then on comics by "big" artist so while i prefer american writing japan wins the art battle for now. European albums (there is a big/public erotic market too) are an entirely other topic as they are drawn over one year at times and colored with hardcore care so they can look like real paintings.

We went over 2000 views and on to I'm Not a Little Kid! which edged on the list as there is a strong focus on characterization in only 20 pages. I doesn´t starts with a sex scene (the dumbest idea possible if it is a flash forward) but comedy. It can´t be good porn and even the lead is calmer then usual. Tracking even if 2 lame doujinshi are the only thing to the artist´s name. While we are on the topic of such.
Kantai Collection dj - Kagayome (7/10) is 100% not pornographic and thus wrong here.
I bring it up as it somehow showed up by mistake and proved that one can write a work based on complete nonsense i barely know and still succeed if one does it right.
I would track him but his only other "real" work is a bad borderline-h short so let´s see.

Backlog blow out: None are amazing but this is the rest of the bucket list so i can move on to new releases only. Chinnyuusha ha Santa Claus is decent christmas comedy .
This project is getting stranger by the post and he is known.
Kimi o Kanjiteru though is clear vanilla porn only but ch. 06 (Teacher) kind off and more so ch. 07 (Starting from the end of the line) have a characterization focus.
The rest are inoffensive and the art is calm. Tracking for now and even After the Pool didn´t kill me in spite of their youth. His "real" manga are bad btw. so another one on that list . I´ll go to hell for that underage comment alone but my Dante´s Inferno Test came out with Level 2 - Lustful: Moderate. Middle of the road is hardly helpfully information i fear.

I just looked into my word document and noticed these that failed the list despite ambition:
Senpai! (ED) Also known and it´s a two parter so set a bounty i guess but that one has even more (better located) sex. His Heart To Heart is better told and even has more setup then sex. Stop doing porn and get a real author on board as he is wasted. None remain.

Yanagida Fumita I have mixed feelings about.

es no Madobe I can barely comment on the intent and i wrote it off as a neo-surrealistic lingerie fantasy but part 4 just came out. It is more insane, with less but more explicit sex and the page count will go over 200 soon. Is this the "In Search of Lost Time" (longest book ever #librarian knowledge) of hardcore panchira but hentai series longer then Akira exist. I wonder which mangaka this really is and OCHA´s (continuing) creepy doujinshi are creepy. I will follow this tale i guess and the many duplicates meant that it hit and i only bring it up as French erotic comics look very similar. Back to my writing theme as i am not the Vanilla brigade and i never cared about porn if that wasn´t clear by now.

H: Koibito Doushi + Motto Koibito Doushi (these aren´t loli) from Amai Koi Shiyo is shoujo porn and thus a smut manga. It is very naive, cutesy and has contextualized vanilla porn scenes in the middle which don´t differ that much from the smut norm.
It actually compares pretty favorably and the length fits. I am not inventing Borderline Smut but this is it. His other shorts are comparable enough but of lesser quality so look at parts of Hachu Echi if anything. Tracking for now.

Only You (makki) checks out with it´s well done characterization and should be the mangaka´s second work. The comedic timing is great, dialog itself is good and the whole knight saves "damsel" (not quite) from being raped plot (she even fights back) almost never works so seeing it function in a hentai is noteworthy. This should be female audience friendly and the art is strong. Certainly a better tale than that domestic abuse fantasy of a Twilight Fan-Fic that went past the ½ billion mark recently which is the opposite and a power fantasy on top. Point to the success of that abortion the next time someone gives you grief about what you consume as i have flipped trough the books a bit at work and even the total crap that my code filters is more literate.
I even reported the author as the short is part of my profile now. His first one is ok vanilla but the school setting killZ the logic. I would call the author the real deal after only one notable short but No.3 is crap as consistency will never grace this tread.

I further have zero problem with way underage sexuality but it needs to be commented in some fashion and it would have better if the males weren´t much older and thus in a position of power but the stories weren´t bad and i will credit the author for establishing a warm atmosphere and having decent storytelling ideas despite the inherent problematic or romanticization of the topic. I will further note that they tower over THAT non-hentai loli manga which melted a million boards as i didn´t want to go to prison after reading here. O-TSUKA Reika´s A Peaceful Association about teen dating is an improvement on which i can track for now. So what else?

My friend Lost Rabbit and me had a this discussion and here is my opinion regarding well written vs well intentioned porn as i have reflected on a large amount now and should have an educated opinion but feel free to stop.
I Decided in My Heart to Bring You Down!! could work as a real ongoing so into my profile it goes BUT my Spider-Sense started to tingle when i read the omake page before looking at the spin-offs. "Ameri-chan Dream" is the worst kind of writing possible (regardless of medium) as even the commentators couldn´t believe what he did to an original character. First you make people care and then you eat your young? The political commentary (see what he did there?) isn´t helping one bit so who is the target audience.
"Gotsugou Soukan" has some interesting moments but is another mess of it´s own. Not due to it´s unfinished state but because rape is used as drama and this sexual healing nonsense is a no go. Too many heavy topics like drugs, incest and whatnot are also put on the table and then left unexamined as this would need more then 200 pages to even work but here we have 1/8 of the space. It is a nonlinear experiment and nothing else.

This somewhat fascinating mess of a standalone chapter further illustrates my point: Bishoujo Club Chapter 10 Past Chapter-Utopia only so don´t bother with 1-9 as it they suck and are unconnected. This tale has strong ideas how to convey feelings but how many idea, side storys and whatnot are there in only 40 pages. Like WTF!
Cobbler, stick to your trade! and i will never understand why some of them try nearly everything they can in 20-30 pages as this is barely enough time to characterize but this thing goes for world building and ambiguity on top. Most hentai stories are also clear morality tales and i know that most narrative fiction is too so that is not a big problem but if a storyteller decides to bait and switching and go off the deep end it will backfire as with Yanagida Fumita above.
We further went over his Moratorium Shounen x Shoujo from Shoujo x Shoujo x Shoujo which could have been a good short with nice leads and moments but it is fetishizes to such a degree (and redefines anatomy) so i can only write it off as well intentioned and nothing else and i can label half of the stuff that come out on my end as that. I can live with explicit sex but doing it like this is too crazy and it makes NO sense in context of the story here most of all. Or elsewhere! Why so nonlinear?

This point brings me to my 4/10 (on a good day) mess Sweet Days (TAKASUGI Kou) that i should have commented on when i brought it up before. I bough the whole aunt X nephew relationship which is a VERY had sell and commentators responded to the romance more then to the sex. Maybe. The story starts as clumsy Vanilla but somehow get´s a real romance going so it got my attention but then off to porno land for like 100+ pages we go with tie-ins to other woks on top so actual storytelling is pretty much dead. Don´t ask me how but the tale then SOMEHOW pulls off a strong finish which should be impossible by now with a strong emotional context. This means that we went form (incest) Vanilla, to realy dumb pornography and finally to a melancholic love story. I can only think that the crappy and repetitive mangaka decided to do something real for once but had no idea how to fill the space of 200 pages so the middle is just porn. Thanks. He like most of them also retells the same storys over and over but a true artist never repeats himself.
Read my above mentioned satire how to guide and you will see what i mean.

I will bring up the seasonal (even translated on Christmas) Kannou no Christmas Eve from Kannou no Houteishiki later when when the following 2 chapters are out as i found myself intrigued after reading the discussion in the comments. NTR is wrongly promised but i will tell why this one isn´t quite working despite giving clear characterization and establishing a simplistic but mutual love in ch.1. This is why i mentioned the 50-ish page length requirement a few times as there is a make or break point with (vanilla) hentai.
I further read up on how hentai is produced before so i may be able to explain why the entire industry is an inconsistent washout but enough for now and this was hopefully informative in some way. Keep in mind though that we are looking at some of the starts of tomorrow as Hellsing started out as bad pr0n and at least 10% (who knows how many) of all mangaka did or do some form of hentai.
None more important then TEZUKA Osamu exist but he did (laughable) hentai and the guys behind Superman (!) drew SM porn. Look it up but it is crap.

I Decided in My Heart to Bring You Down!! will continue to be one of my favorite Hentais, but from what u told me about the other two works relating to his other original characters, I'll agree with what u have to say about em. Still, I'd put "I Decided in My Heart..." up there with Sense of Values of Wine as my favorite Hentai stories. The others aren't quite coming to mind right now...

With that said, I'll quickly look through some works I've read in the past and seemed to enjoy to different degrees, so here's what I've come up with for now:

Dignified Darling I appreciate for the relationship dynamic, but as u mentioned before, it would most likely be better off as "well-intended" instead of well-written. [shrug]

Glitter Dolls uses an old story/tale for the opening premise. It's funny at first, but then just focuses solely on the sex scenes, so not something to totally recommend... I guess I just like the "randomness" to it...

Going along with "randomness," [a]Karma Tatsuro[/a] I mentioned a while back. I love some of his work for the wacky ideas he decides to run with, being Rainsnow, [m]Pururun Kansenki[/m], and Fallen Balls.
Shiawase no Shoujo by Karma has no dialogue or really any words in it. It's based on another old(?) story/tale I once again fail to remember. I don't know if it would qualify as something well written, but it is somewhat heartwarming to read.

I didn't remember the name till I looked for it furiously, but [m]Fragile and Tough[/m] would be put up there with the first two on my favorites list. I think this one would and should be considered as well written, and if you haven't seen it yet, DEFINITELY READ IT when you get the chance.

An unexpectedly funny scene toward the end, with an additionally sweet way to end it. A bit cheesy, but not too bad I gotta say.

Bokura no Himitsu Kichi (Our Secret Base) from Kanojo Zokusei explains itself and what would the japanese field of romance look like without high issues i wonder but the short fails my bar slightly as MARUTA doesn´t have enough pages to characterize so it will be hard to remember in the end.
A month between it and the next entry passed to even have 2 works worth mentioning while the last good one is 2 further weeks in the past so future post should prove equably infrequent. I failed to discover I Decided in My Heart to Bring You Down!! earlier btw. as it´s a Doujinshi and i turn these off so such original tales are my blind spot. If anyone wants to look at all sorts of inoffensive-ish porn then use my logical operator posted above to which i added "-mind" as i had one more space left but none of the better ones that passed it recentely are interesting enough to mention as only the usual grievances showed up .

Shoji´s first translated work is garbage and Atatakai Heya is porn only due to it´s excessive sexual focus (which is expected) but it had characterization and decent direction so i wasn´t surprised when the eyebrow raising Anata Dakara showed up next.
It isn´t the first one i posted that starts further along in the story but that is still a plus and the slice of life/seasonal aspect is so noteworthy that the sex starts to feels out of place towards the end even if the narrative gives context for it. More space should have been reserved for the payoff but this would work as a real series as both characters have clear identities and the things people publish in porn magazines are just mind boggling at times. I may understand that hentai artist deliberately skip the characterization (especially for the male "avatar") but such a decision also closes the door on any form of storytelling so every page such a work then spends on "drama" is thus a waste. Tracking but he should move on too.

I am lastely open for any hentai OVA suggestions as that filed is an even bigger wasteland than eroge. The known Virgin Night had it´s first tale animated so that was easy but it is also the one OVA worth it´s salt on my end. I have one last adaptation left that is somewhat interesting despite not measuring up to my standards saved up for another drouth though.

Nothing groundbreaking, but romantic and sweet to say the least. It's nice to see a good chunk of pages (42 to be exact) used to flesh out backstories and dialogue/interactions between characters, right before + after the sex scenes happen.

[m]Infatuation[/m] and [m]Eternity / Wet / Decorations[/m] which both come from Boku Dake no Yuuyami - Igumox
2-parter with some really juicy extras in the second part.

Cuvie was brought up here and her works are ether generic vanilla porn or rape porn. Does other kind of porn without fantasy elements even exits... and ShindoL is a psycho who would probably take these words as a compliment.
The Rock Cocks is the best comic that was featured on this "blog" and meets the length criteria too. Slow clap and my only problem is that it needs to settle on a clear tone in regards to "realism" before problems show up. The creators call it an "erotic" work which is fine but non-porn / award winning 17+ Image comics aren´t more sexual and Bryan Lee O'Malley fans should feel right at home. Note that the comic goes out of it´s way to not to be sexist which i noticed pretty fast and the creators mention it too. Such things tend to happen when one doesn´t try to go for a gender focused demographic and Japan really needs to let go of such overhauled notions. Also note the production values one can still stick to when one goes independent and web only too. Interesting that i didn´t find it as the creators are vaguely familiar to me.
I could list a lot of bad web based sex comics but let´s see if i can dig up a good one later too. I will repeat though that we are looking for clear (enough) porn only.
History lesson time: I am ultimately not a fan of the long running Omaha the Cat Dancer from 1978 but narrative based yet 100% sexually explicit comics are quite an old notion you see. Europe actually drowns in these. Surprise? Japan dominance of that market is thus kind of nonsense. The only thing they cornered are heinously animated hentai OVA´s. Never were the words ugly as sin more appropriate.

None of NaPaTa shorts stood out to me but he is interesting enough that i put him on my watch list anyway. Anata no Neko ni (Ch. 8) from Suki darake (the cat one) should be the best so sample that i guess? Maybe one day.
Some of the already mentioned mangaka had decent enough short in the last 3 months but none passed the bar and we had very similar tales before so i will skip those and only mention Jinsei Ano Denchuu Made Sakusen. Neiter the fine yet shallow plot, nor his great art direction (vaguely realistic looking sex scenes in manga are pretty rare so i tend to notice such) stood out but the afterword. He mentions the challenge of pulling off an adult woman (oh Japan ) and admits that his previously works were basically child porn. That level of honesty immediately raised my respect for Shoji so take that as you will and how rare are good covers in hentai or again manga in general. Please stop doing pr0n or write long form hentai. Ganbare!
One short actually showed up that passed the bar so here i am. Namely chapter 5 in Momoiro Daydream. I brought up 2 shorts before that are pretty similar (especially when put together) but i take what i get. Tripy should like it.
My elusive mystery OVA is for next time folks. Suspense!

Edit: My word doc that included further entries ate itself twice, so that´s it for me. The hentai OVA i wanted to highlight is the OVA adaptation of First Love. Mostly ep.1 but also somewhat ep.2. Not a great endeavor or anything but way too competent and clam to work as porn, despite the whole incest thing. I wonder who really directed it...

I'd say that you can't write pr0n well, as it's an antithesis of deeper thought.
It's superficial or eye candy. If that isn't the main point of it, then it's not even pornography to
begin with. It's just literature or art with adult themes, but it doesn't qualify as pr0n
if eroticism is just an instrument and not the purpose. Therefore you can't write good porn
in the sense you can write good prose, but you can create pornographic works, which would be well written in comparison to other works of the same virtue.
For example it might be erotic and give a warm fuzzy feeling or it can just be nothing but erotic and leaving no imprint of any kind to one's memory. The first one would be better written since it has more content to experience, but it's ultimately just a lewd work.
